Authorities Update Route 7 Crash In Stanton, Two To Hospital

 

This morning, at approximately 9:30, New Castle County Paramedics and personnel from the Christiana and Minquas Fire Companies were dispatched to the intersection of Route 7 Southbound and Ogletown Stanton Road, for a motor vehicle crash with entrapment, according to Paramedic Senior Corporal David J. McKinney, Jr.

McKinney said upon their arrival, County Paramedics found a multi-vehicle crash. One patient was unable to exit her vehicle until the arrival of fire department personnel. The patient, a 56-year-old female, was evaluated for a possible head injury and pain affecting the arm and leg.

She was transported to the Emergency Department at Christiana Hospital on board a Christiana Fire Company ambulance accompanied by a New Castle County Paramedic. She was stable at the time of transport.

One other patient was transported from the scene for evaluation at a local hospital. They too were stable at the time of transport.

Delaware State Troopers were on scene and are investigating the crash.

 

Breaking Report

Stanton – Rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, along with Delaware State Police and New Castle County Paramedics have responded to the intersection of Route 7 and Ogletown Staton Road for reports of an injury accident with entrapment.

Crews are reporting three patients with one trapped.

Update: The initial report of four patients was changed to three as crews made their way to the scene.

Update: At least one patient has been transported to Christiana Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
