Car Overturns In Pike Creek, Two To Hospital

Pike Creek – At about 1:30 this afternoon crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder Company, along with the New Castle County Paramedics and the New Castle County Police responded to Upper Pike Creek Road for reports of a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, crews found a car resting on its roof, with two patients in need of medical attention.

Early reports from the scene indicate the car drove off the roadway up an embankment and overturned, narrowly missing a tree.

The female passenger was transported with non-life threatening injuries, to Christiana Hospital. The male driver was transported to Christiana Hospital’s trauma center.

Upper Pike Creek Road remains closed as New Castle County Police continue to investigate the accident. Travelers are advised to seek alternate routes of travel.
