Injury Crash In Townsend Sends One To Trauma

Townsend – At approximately 8:30 this morning rescue crews from the Townsend Fire Company along with New Castle County Paramedics and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation Unit) responded to the 1000 blk of Caldwell Corner Road for reports of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.

Upon arrival, crews found a male patient trapped and began working to extricate him from his vehicle. After several minutes the patient was treated by ambulance crews and New Castle County Paramedics before he was transported to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center via Trooper 4.

The extent of the patient’s injuries is unknown at this time.
