Police Locate Missing Newark 12-Year-Old

Newark – New Castle County Police are currently searching for a 12-year-old missing from the community of Harbor Club Apartments.

Yesterday, July 19, at approximately 9:00 p.m., New Castle County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Cheswold Blvd for the report of a missing person. Police learned that Melina Walls made statements that caused a concern for her welfare and fled the residence on foot, according to police.

She is described as a white female, 5’4” tall, 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing light colored jeans, and a multi-colored hooded sweatshirt.

A “Child is Missing” has been initiated by the New Castle County Police.
