Police: Suspected Drug Dealer Busted And Released On Unsecured Bail

New Castle – Yesterday, July 25, 2018 members of the New Castle County Police Mobile Enforcement Team established surveillance in the area of the unit block of West Ave, New Castle near the community of Holloway Terrace, according to police.

Officials said a red Ford Mustang was observed leaving a local establishment and was stopped after a traffic violation was witnessed by the officers. The driver, 44-year-old Christopher Longstaff was found to be in possession of a .380 semi-automatic handgun, 107.8 grams of marijuana packaged for sale and $1679 in cash, authorities said.

Christopher Longstaff was taken into custody and transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters where he was arrested on 1 count felony Drug Dealing, 1 count felony Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, 1 count felony Possession of a Firearm By a Person Prohibited, 1 count misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, 1 count Failure to Have Insurance, Failure to Have Registration Card and Failure to Signal a Turn.

Christopher Longstaff was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court #2 and released on $33,502 unsecured bail.
