Police: Woman Wanted In Connection With 4th Of July Double Stabbing Charged

On 07/06/2018, Mitchell-Wright turned herself into Wilmington Police and was booked on Assault 1st Degree (2 counts) and weapons-related offenses, according to Wilmington Police.

On Wednesday morning, July 4, 2018, at approximately 11:20, Wilmington Police responded to the 200 block of N. Franklin Street, with regard to a stabbing investigation.

Upon their arrival, officers located a victim, suffering from a puncture wound to the chest. That person was transported to the Christiana Hospital where he is currently in critical but stable condition, according to police.

Officials said a second victim was located at the scene and transported to St. Francis Hospital. That victim was treated and released.

Through investigative measures, Nakera Mitchell-Wright was developed as a suspect, according to police.

Mitchell-Wright is currently wanted on the following charges:
1 count Assault 1st
1 count Possession deadly weapon during commission of felony
1 count Assault 3rd
1 count Criminal Mischief
