Violence Breaks Out At New Castle Hotel(s) Two Days In A Row, Police Searching For Suspect

New Castle- The Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect who is wanted in connection with an Assault 1st degree, according to Director of Public Information, Sergeant Richard Bratz.

Bratz the incident occurred on July 14, 2018, at approximately 2:13 a.m., as troopers were called to the Best Knights Inn for a stabbing. The investigation revealed the victim fled with serious stab wounds and was located nearby on Robinson Drive. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he is being treated for his serious injuries.

Through investigative measures, the suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Sirrone Deshields of New Castle, Delaware. Deshields is currently wanted for Assault 1st Degree and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, said Bratz.

It’s unclear if this is the same location, Best Night Inn just off of Route 9 in New Castle, where a man was found shot twice on Friday. Read that story here. Police have not said if the two incidents are related.
