Employees from the Christina School District will be attending a district-wide Back-to-School Kick-Off Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. at the Chase Center in Wilmington.
Last year drivers were caught off guard when drivers attending the event began to back up on to I-95 near downtown, causing heavy delays.
Hoping to avoid a repeat of last year’s traffic nightmare, schools will be shuttling some of their employees to the event by bus.
Riding the bus is voluntary so some employees may still opt to drive to the event.
