Troopers: Two Tough Guys With A Gun Rob Claymont Burger King

Claymont – Troopers are investigating a robbery of a Claymont Burger King that occurred early yesterday morning, according to Director of Public Information, Sergeant Richard Bratz.

Bratz said the incident occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the Burger King located at 2911 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont as two male suspects approached an employee from behind and ordered him at gunpoint into the store, said Bratz. The suspects demanded the cash from the safe. The employee complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspects fled the restaurant southbound on Philadelphia Pike. The employee was not injured.

The two suspects were described as two males wearing hooded sweat shirts with their faces covered with one armed with an unknown make and model handgun.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Troop 2 Robbery Unit at 302-365-8566.
