Happening Now: Construction Worker Has Hit A Gas Line On Main Street In Newark

Newark – Firefighters from Aetna and the Christiana Fire Company have responded to Main Steet in the area of Center Street for a gas leak.

Early indications are that a construction worker has hit a gas line. Command is reporting an active leak.

Command has ordered firefighters into nearby buildings to take readings to determine if gas is entering the buildings.

Update: 8:41 am Delmarva has turned off the gas. Command has placed the incident under control.
