House Fire In Newark’s Scottfield Neighborhood Sends One To Hospital

Newark – At around 2:30 this afternoon, firefighters from Aetna, House Hook, and Ladder, along with mutual aid from Christiana Fire, Mill Creek Fire Company – Stations 2&21, Minquas of Newport Vol. Fire Co., Cranston Heights Fire Company, Five Points Fire Company, Hockessin Fire Company – Station 19, Delaware City Volunteer Fire Company, No. 1, Inc., Station 15, and New Castle County Paramedics responded to the 900 block of Linfield Rd in the Scottfield development.

An off-duty Assistant Chief from the Claymont Fire Company was able to enter the home and rescue a victim from the 2nd floor. That patient was transported to the Christiana Hospital via Aetna ambulance

Fire Marshals are on scene investigating the blaze.
