Home Heavily Damaged By Fire Early This Morning

Just before 4:30 this morning, Friday, October 19, firefighters from the Mill Creek Fire Company, along with crews from several other New Castle County fire companies responded to the 300 block of 4th Avenue for reports of a mobile home fire.

Upon arrival, crews reported smoke showing from the home. As additional crews responded to the scene they began to report that fire was now showing for the Murray Manor Trailer Park home.

Crews began their attack on the fire and just under an hour after being dispatched to the scene, at 5:19 am, Command placed the fire under control.

Fire Marshals are on scene investigating the cause of the fire.

Reports from the scene indicate that the family escaped the home without injury.
