The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on Sunday night. At approximately 7:36 pm, unknown suspects forced their way into a room at the Dover Inn where a 23-year-old male victim was located, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.
Hoffman said during the incident, the victim was shot multiple times and had property stolen.
The victim was taken to a hospital by private vehicle where he underwent surgery and is currently admitted in serious condition.
Hoffman said Dover Police believe that this was not a random act but he did not indicate why.
