Police: Man Entered Woman’s Bed While She Was Sleeping, Put Hand Over Her Mouth

Detectives with the Georgetown Police Department are investigating an burglary and unlawful imprisonment incident, according to Public Information Officer Joey Melvin.

Melvin said officers were called to an address on Albury Avenue during the early morning hours of Saturday October 20, 201. Officers learned that a 19-year-old woman was sleeping in her residence when an unknown male entered her bedroom. The male suspect then entered the victims bed and held his hand over the victim’s mouth, said Melvin. The victim was able to free herself and began to scream at which time the suspect fled the residence.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40’s, 180-200lbs, some facial hair, wearing a white or light gray t-shirt and jeans.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information as asked to contact Georgetown Police Department attention Detective Arnold.
