Crash Traps One In Wilmington, Flown To Trauma

Wilmington – Just before 9:00 this evening, firefighters from the Wilmington Fire Department, along with New Castle County Paramedics and Trooper 4 responded to a vehicle crash with entrapment.

Early indications are that at least one person is trapped in a vehicle in the area of Lancaster Avenue and Franklin Street.

Trooper 4 has landed a few blocks away, at Judy Johnson park.

Update: The driver of the vehicle, trapped for approximately 20 minutes, is now en route to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital via Trooper 4 with serious injuries to the face and the lower extremities.
