Reports: Fire At Terumo Medical Prompts Road Closure

Elkton, Md. – Firefighters from the Singerly Fire Company, along with crews Newark’s Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder have responded to 125 Blue Ball Road for reports of a commercial structure fire.

Early indications are that a fire inside a chemical storage room has been contained by the sprinkler system. Crews are taking readings inside the building. Fire Marshals and HAZMAT en route to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews reported that the fire was out and the sprinklers were still activated.

Command has ordered the Blue Ball Road closed until further notice.
