Just In: Driver Trapped In Morning Crash, Flown To Trauma

Harrington – Just after 5:30 this morning rescue crews from the Harrington Fire Company responded to 19456 South Dupont Highway for reports of a motor vehicle accident with a patient trapped.

Upon their arrival, crews confirmed that one person was trapped and began working to free the patient. Early indications are that a tractor-trailer and car were involved in the accident.

Command ordered the southbound lanes of South Dupont Highway closed as crews worked to extricate the patient.

Crews were able to free the patient from the vehicle after working for about 20 minutes.

The patient was then transported via Trooper 4 to the Trauma Center at Christina Hospital in Stanton.

The northbound lanes were closed for a short period of time to while Trooper 4 was on scene.
