Maryland State Police Arrest Suspects In Attempted Armed Robbery In Salisbury

Date and Time: January 23, 2019, at 8:58 a.m.

Location: North Salisbury Boulevard at E. North Pointe Drive, Salisbury, MD

Regional Desk – Salisbury, Md. – Shortly before 9:00 yesterday morning, Maryland State Troopers on patrol were flagged down by an adult male victim on Route 13 near the Days Inn motel in Salisbury, Maryland. The man advised them that two suspects had tried to stab him for a cigarette. The victim provided troopers with a detailed description of the suspects and that they had run toward the America’s Best Value Inn motel. The victim further advised that the two suspects chased him with knives and threatened to kill him. The victim stated he only got away because he was able to outrun the suspects and one of the suspects fell down.

Troopers quickly canvassed the area and were able to locate both suspects matching the victim’s description behind the America’s Best Value Inn motel. Also located were two knives matching the victim’s description as well as 4 syringes containing heroin, according to police.

Both suspects were arrested and transported to the MSP Salisbury Barrack for Processing. Disposition is pending.
