Update: Delaware School Closings And Delays Monday 1-14-19

Appoquinimink Schools & Offices
Monday, January 14: Appoquinimink Schools & Offices will open 2-Hours Late; 3-Year Old AM Preschool is Cancelled. After a thorough review of local conditions; we have decided on a 2-hour delay for Schools & Offices on Monday. (Our primary concern is that melting snow will freeze overnight and create unsafe conditions in school parking lots.) Secondary students: Any changes in class scheduling will be determined by your building administrator and announced that morning. Automated voice and email messages were launched to ASD families with this message

CAESAR RODNEY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Due to snow, the Caesar Rodney School District will open two hours late on Monday, January 14, 2019

Cape Henlopen School District
The Cape Henlopen School District will be operating on a 2-hour delay on Monday, January 14, 2019, and there will be no AM Pre-K.

CAPITAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Due to additional accumulation and very cold temperatures we had additional icing on some roads and parking lots overnight which will take some time to melt as temperatures remain cold. All Schools in the Capital School District are now CLOSED on Monday, January 14th. We apologize for this necessary change. Offices will open at 10 AM and staff may take liberal leave. Indian River School District
Due to inclement weather, all schools will open two hours late on Monday, January 14. There will be no morning preschool activities. Administrators, custodians and nutrition services workers should report at their regular time. All other employees should report two hours late.

Lake Forest School District
**UPDATE** – Lake Forest School District will be closed today, Jan 14th, for students only. Staff (including 12-month) are operating on a 2-hour delay.

LAUREL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Due to concerns about the projection for continued inclement weather for this evening— The Laurel School District will be closed for tomorrow, Monday, January 14.

MILFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT
All Milford School District Schools will be closed for students Monday, January 14, 2019

MOT Charter
Two-hour delay on Monday, January 14, 2019: HS opens 9:25am & K-8 opens 10;30am

Polytech School District
Due to icy road conditions, Positive Outcomes Charter School will be closed today, Monday, January 14, 2019.

Positive Outcomes Charter School
Positive Outcomes Charter School will open two hours late Monday. Transportation will also run two hours late.

Seaford School District
All Seaford Schools will now be CLOSED today, Monday, January 14th. Any after-school programs and evening activities including sports are also cancelled for today. Please travel safely.

Smyrna School District
Today, January 14th, 2019. All Smyrna School District schools will be closed due to inclement weather.

SUSSEX ACADEMY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES
Update- Sussex Academy will be closed on Monday, January 14. Thank you for your continued support of the Sussex Academy and have a good day.
Sussex Technical School District
Please be advised that the Sussex Technical School District will be closed today, Monday, January 14.
The Board of Education meeting scheduled for this afternoon has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 16, with an executive session at 4 p.m. and public session at 5 p.m.

Woodbridge School District
Due to road conditions, the Woodbridge School District will be closed on 1/14/19. Staff should report at 10:00 A.M.
