Video – Troopers Investigating Bank Robbery Inside Pike Creek Grocery Store

The Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a Pike Creek area bank that took place late Friday afternoon, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said the incident occurred at approximately 5:23 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Citizens Bank branch inside the ACME grocery store, located at 4720 Limestone Road in the Pike Creek Shopping Center, when a male suspect approached a teller and produced a note demanding money. The suspect also made a statement which led the victim to believe that he was armed with some type of explosive device, according to Austin.

Robbery is the second video.

The victim complied with the instructions on the note and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who then fled in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a white male, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, and blue jeans.
