Police: Vehicle Stolen While Owner Sleeps In Back Seat

On Sunday, February 10, 2019, at around 7:15 in the morning, a man was asleep in the back seat of his vehicle, a Ford Escape, while the engine was running on Orchard Avenue.

It was at this time that two occupants of a gray Chevrolet Suburban arrived. One of the suspects entered the vehicle and stole it while the victim was still asleep inside, according to police.

The vehicle crashed shortly thereafter on Woodlawn Avenue. The suspects fled the area after the collision. Suspect one is a male wearing a two-tone jacket with a red hood and white pants. Suspect two is wearing a gray hooded jacket and gray pants.

Police did not say how the victim was able to describe the second suspect or how he knew the pair arrived in a Chevrolet Suburban.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Cpl. R. Sharpe at (302) 366-71000 x. 3427 or [email protected].
