Troopers Seeking Man Charged With Rape, Strangulation

Selbyville- The Delaware State Police (DSP) are currently investigating a sexual assault incident and are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect.

The incident occurred on February 22, 2019, at approximately 10:00 p.m., when Troopers responded to a local area hospital and made contact with a 17-year old female victim who reported that she had been sexually assaulted, according to DSP Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said further investigation revealed that the victim was at a residence in Selbyville when she had been sexually assaulted, strangled, physically assaulted and held against her will, by the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Xavier Aiken of Milton.

Troopers have been unable to locate Aiken who currently has active warrants out of Troop 4 for the following:

Rape First Degree
Rape Second Degree
Kidnapping First Degree
Assault Second Degree
Strangulation
