On January 17 at approximately 4:30 p.m., police received a report of a robbery in progress in the area of 11th and Lombard Streets. As patrol units were responding to the area, police received a call about a shooting victim who had arrived at the hospital.

Police responded to the hospital and located a 31-year-old New Castle man suffering from a gunshot wound, and officers located and processed the scene at 11th and Lombard.

Detectives have secured surveillance footage that captured the robbery and the shooting, and are asking for the public to assist in identifying both suspects.
