At approximately 2:00 yesterday afternoon, New Castle County Paramedics and surrounding fire companies were dispatched to the intersection of Summit Bridge Road and Madelyn Drive for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne Russell.

Russell said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found one patient, 61-year-old-male, and operator of the motorcycle, who was separated from his motorcycle. The patient suffered injuries to his head and shoulder. The patient was treated on scene and transported to Christiana Hospital via Christiana Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics.
