Police Release Names Of The 17-Year-Old Teens Killed In Their Home

Wilmington Police have released the names of the victims in this morning’s homicide incident.

The victims have been identified as 17-year-old Christian Coffield and 17-year-old Janiya Henry. Officials said that they have notified the families.

This remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.

Wilmington Police have identified the two victims of this morning’s homicide incident as a 17-year-old male and a 17-year-old female.

Police were called to the area at approximately 4:33 a.m. and both victims were located inside of a residence.

Wilmington Police are investigating a homicide incident in the unit block of West 26th Street.

Two victims were located inside of a residence and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Breaking Report

Wilmington – Just after 4:40 this morning, Monday, March 11, 2019, Wilmington Police along with Wilmington Fire and area medics were dispatched to a home on West 26th Street for reports of a shooting with multiple victims.

While en route, crews learned that Wilmington Police were reporting that two people were shot inside the home.

Once the first medical crews arrived all incoming first responders were recalled.

Reports from the scene indicate that two people have been found dead inside the home.
