Domestic-Related Shooting In Manor Park Sends 17-Year-Old To Hospital

Last evening, May 3, at approximately 8:40 p.m. officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the unit block of Mcmullen Ave, in the community of Manor Park, for a report of a domestic-related shooting. When the officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old victim suffering from a minor gunshot wound to the leg. The officers were then able to take one suspect into custody.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived on scene and have assumed the investigation.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. More information will be forthcoming.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
