New Castle – Authorities have shut down Route 13 at Bolden to investigate a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

Reports from the scene indicate that a tractor-trailer struck a pedestrian.

The patient is currently en route to the trauma center at Christiana Hospital.

Update: 4:12 Troopers have reopened the road.
