Magnolia Man Found Shot In His Kitchen After Bullet Penetrated His Home

Magnolia- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred late last evening.

The incident occurred on May 19, 2019, at approximately 10:46 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the 500 block of Millchop Lane, Magnolia for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, Troopers located a 38-year-old male victim in the kitchen of the residence with an apparent gunshot wound.

Further investigation revealed that the bullet that had struck the victim appears to have entered the residence, penetrating the kitchen wall and cabinet. Several bullet holes were also observed on the east side of the residence.

It was reported that an unknown dark-colored vehicle was seen fleeing the area with three black male subjects.

The victim was transported by EMS to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. During this incident, there were seven other family members inside the residence, all of whom did not sustain injuries.
