Man Charged With Stealing Tools, Lawn Mower

Millsboro – The Delaware State Police have arrested a Millsboro man in connection with multiple thefts occurring in the Riverdale Mobile Home Park area, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the investigation began on May 14, 2019, when Troopers responded to a residence in the Riverdale Mobile Home Park for a report of a theft of a package containing tools, that was delivered to the residence. Through investigative measures, it was discovered that the stolen items had been placed for sale online, by 24-year-old Patrick M. Ford, said Jaffe.

On May 17, 2019, another theft of property in the Riverdale Mobile Home Park, including a new push mower was reported. The mower was reported to have been seen at another residence within the Mobile Home Park. Troopers responded to this residence where the mower was observed outside. Ford was contacted at this residence and taken into custody without incident.

Ford was transported back to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following:

Theft (Felony)
Theft
Attempted to Commit Selling Stolen Property
Criminal Trespass (2 counts)
Ford was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on his own recognizance.
