Mom, Missing 8-Year-Old Girl From Dover Return

Lt. Charles Groce of the Wyoming Police Department is advising that on Monday, May 27, 2019, Jessica A. Ewing turned herself into their department and surrendered custody of Mia Fumes, who was found to be in good condition.

The Town of Wyoming, Delaware Police Department is attempting to locate 8-year-old Mia Fumes, of Dover, Delaware, who was last seen with her biological mother, 40-year-old Jessica A. Ewing at approximately 2:20 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2019, at W. B. Simpson Elementary School in Camden, Delaware, according to police.

Authorities said that by taking custody of Mia, Ewing is in violation of a Family Court order which was issued on May 24, 2019.

Mia is described as a white female, 4’00” tall, 70 lbs. with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Ewing is described as a white female, 5’00” tall, 125 lbs., red hair, and brown eyes. She is driving a blue, 2019 Toyota Corolla, with Arkansas registration, 739VRE.

Ewing has ties to the Prosperity, Pennsylvania and is possibly en-route to that area.
