Police – 12-Year-Old Arrested For Driving Stolen Vehicle

Wilmington Police have arrested and charged a 12-year-old male seen driving a stolen vehicle.

On May 17, 2019, at approximately 3:44 a.m., a police officer was on proactive patrol in the area of 5th and North Rodney Streets when they observed a vehicle that had been reported stolen. Additional units located the car and the driver, a 12-year-old male.

The 12-year-old was arrested and charged with theft over $1,500 and was arraigned in New Castle County Family Court. He was released to a parent pending further proceedings.
