Police: Two Meth Labs Found In Man’s Car In Dover

The Dover Police arrested 59-year-old Eugene Thompson, Jr. on drug charges following an early morning incident in a Walgreen’s Parking Lot on Thursday, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 8:26 AM, a 3rd party called to report a possible overdose/medical issue involving a male subject in a blue sedan.

Officers arrived and located Thompson inside the vehicle, who was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. While assisting Thompson, officers located a “one-pot meth lab” inside of the vehicle, said Hoffman. A short time later, a second one was found in the trunk. Officers also located 3 vials containing a total of .6 grams of methamphetamine inside of the vehicle.

Emergency response and Hazardous Material teams from several agencies responded to the location and safely disposed of the “one pot” labs, causing the parking lot to the business to be closed for approximately 2-3 hours.

Once Thompson was released from the hospital, he was charged with the following offenses and released on an O.R. bond:
-Operating a Clandestine Laboratory
-Possession of Methamphetamine
-Drug Paraphernalia
