Wanted Man Located, Two Handguns Seized

A Wilmington Police investigation has resulted in the arrest of a wanted man and the seizure of two firearms and a large quantity of marijuana.

On May 15 at approximately 6:16 a.m., Detective Paul Simonds and other members of the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the 2800 block of North Tatnall Street to execute a search warrant in connection with a man who had an active warrant for offensive touching as well as an outstanding capias. Police took 37-year-old Musa Glascoe into custody without incident at the scene.

During their search, detectives recovered a total of 589 grams of marijuana, a knife with a 10-inch blade, assorted drug paraphernalia, and two handguns – a loaded .40-caliber handgun found to have been reported stolen out of Vineland, NJ, and a loaded .45-caliber handgun.

Glascoe was processed on his outstanding offensive touching warrant as well as an outstanding capias, and Detective Simonds secured an arrest warrant for the following additional charges:

Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (2 Counts)
Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (2 Counts)
Receiving a Stolen Firearm
Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Tier 1 Quantity

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $125,000 cash-only bail for the above charges and $1,000 cash-only bail for his outstanding warrant.
