Bethany Beach Woman Reported Missing After Friend App Goes Dark, Search Underway

Bethany Beach – Bethany Beach Police are currently searching for  70-year-old Linda Lee Bravo, who was last seen on Thursday, June 13th.

Officers conducted a welfare check at Bravo’s residence in Bethany Beach on Thursday, at the request of her neighbor.  The neighbor noticed that the “Find My Friends” app was no longer showing Bravo’s location, according to police.

A post of Bravo’s Facebook page reads” Hi Friends, have you seen or heard from me? I was last seen leaving Sea Colony at 9:00 pm the evening of Thursday, June 13th. I drive a white Mercedes GLK350, Delaware license plate # PC444152 which is also missing. My car has visible scratches on the tailgate where touch up paint was used to try to cover them. Please comment if you’ve seen me since Wednesday and where and when you last saw me. Please call the local Bethany Beach Police Department if you have any information on my whereabouts at 302-539-1000 Thank you!” It is believed that Bravo’s family posted the message.

Police said in their statement that attempts to contact Bravo via her vehicle and cell phone have been unsuccessful.

Several Sussex County agencies, utilizing air, ground and marine units were out searching in the area around Bethany Beach on Tuesday, according to sources.
