Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal stabbing incident that occurred at approximately 4:00 Saturday morning.
Police officers responding to the area of 2nd and Walnut Streets located a 44-year-old male victim suffering from stab wounds, according to officials.
Police performed first aid and attempted life-saving measures before the victim was transported to the hospital.
The man later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
