Milford Police Investigate Threat Involving Walmart, One Arrested

On June 6, 2019, Milford Police Department was notified of a possible threat that was to occur at Walmart, located at 939 N DuPont Blvd. in Milford on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, according to Detective Timothy Maloney. Detectives investigated the threat and identified the suspect as Allen Mohr, 61 of Milford, according to Maloney.

Maloney said the investigation revealed that the threat was not against the store, but against a particular employee of Walmart. Detectives obtained a warrant for Mohr on for Terroristic Threatening. Attempts were made to contact Mohr on but officers were not able to locate Mohr.

Detectives with the assistance of the Milford Police Department Patrol Division located Mohr at his residence yesterday, June 11, 2019, just before noon and took him into custody without incident. Mohr was transported back to Milford PD, where he was formally charged with Terroristic Threatening.

Mohr had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 2, where he has issued a $1000.00 cash bail and a no-contact order with the employee and Walmart. Mohr posted his bond and was released from custody with a future court date in the Kent County Family Court.

As of this time, the Milford Police Department does not consider there to be an active threat against Walmart, its employees, or patrons, said Maloney. The Milford Police Department reminds citizens that if they see something or someone that appears to be suspicious, they should call 9-1-1 immediately.
