Police: Wilmington Man Arrested In Dover With 650 Bags of Heroin

The Dover Police Department arrested 28-year-old Kwame Redmond on drug charges on Wednesday morning, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 12:04 AM, officers contacted a group of subjects in the area of East Loockerman Street and South New Street. Redmond fled from officers on foot but was taken into custody a short time later. When officers checked an area where Redmond attempted to hide, they discovered 650 bags of heroin, Hoffman said.

Redmond was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $62,000 cash bond on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver
-Possession of Heroin
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Resisting Arrest
-Drug Paraphernalia
