Update: Man Stabbed To Death In Easton YMCA Locker Room

Easton, Md. – Police have confirmed that one person is dead after an altercation occurred at the Easton YMCA this morning.

At approximately 7:30 this morning police officers with the Easton Police Department along with other responding agencies responded to the YMCA at 202 Peachblossom Road, for reports of an assault.

When officers arrived on scene they found an unconscious man inside the locker room suffering from serious stab wounds. The man was reportedly being given CPR prior to the officer’s arrival.

Officers then learned that there was a second patient at the scene and requested an additional ambulance.

While en route, rescue crews learned that there were two patients at the scene. Upon their arrival crews reported that the patient in the locker room was severally injured and suffering from multiple lacerations. That patient was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital.

That second patient was possibly suffering from a seizure, according to reports from the scene. That patient, also believed to be a male, was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital as well.

The condition of the second patient, a person police are referring to as a person of interest, is unknown at this time.

Authorities have taken witnesses to the police department where they are currently undergoing interviews.

In a post on their Facebook page, the YMCA said “Due to an incident that occurred at the Easton Family YMCA we are currently closed and cooperating with the local law enforcement officials. We will update Facebook when normal operations resume.”
