Aetna Responds To Motorcycle Crash In White Clay Creek State Park

White Clay Creek State Park – At 11:53 this morning rescue crews from Newark’s Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder along with New Castle County Police and State Park Security responded to Hopkins Bridge Road at Thompson Station Road for reports of a motor vehicle accident.

While en route crews learned that there were two accidents in the same general area and one of them involved a motorcycle with the rider injured.

Reports from the scene indicate that the first accident involved a landscaping truck and a white Infinity colliding at the intersection.  As that crash was occurring the rider of the motorcycle reportedly laid the bike down to avoid the accident.

The rider of the motorcycle was transported to Christiana Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Not much is know about the crash further up Thompson Station Road, however, an ambulance was requested by  Aetna Chief Andrew Bowerson to that scene as well.
