Edgemoor Crash Sends Two To Hospital On Sunday

At approximately 1:20 yesterday morning, New Castle County Paramedics and surrounding fire companies were dispatched to the area of Interstate I-495 Northbound at the Edgemoor Road offramp for a motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found two patients needing advanced life support care, according to Paramedic Corporal Yvonne Russell.

Russell said the first patient, a 31-year-old-male, suffered injuries to his neck and arm. The patient was transported to Wilmington Hospital via Brandywine Hundred Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient is in stable condition at the time of transport.

The second patient, a 31-year-old-male, suffered injuries to his face. The patient was transported to Wilmington Hospital via Claymont Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
