Man Charged With Robbing 72 YO Woman In Dover, Read Details

The Dover Police Department arrested 33-year-old Roy Wrenn of Smyrna after he robbed a 72-year-old female on Wednesday, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer,

On July 31, 2019, at approximately 11:14 AM, the victim was walking to the Dover Federal Credit Union, when Wrenn approached from behind and stuck something against her back and demanded her belongings said Hoffman. Wrenn forcefully removed her purse from her shoulder and fled the area.

Surveillance footage showed Wrenn wearing a black t-shirt with a large white eagle on the front and blue jeans. Officers located him a short time later in the area of New and Reed Streets wearing the same clothing, Hoffman said. He was taken into custody and will be charged with a single count of 2nd Degree Robbery.

Hoffman said bond information was not available at the time of this release. Court records show that multiple cases are pending for a  Roy Wrenn in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas. Three separate case numbers are set for October 11, 2019, while two other cases are set for September 11, 2019, and September 25, 2019. All are set for arraignment hearings.
