Police Stop Wilmington Home Invasion In Progress

Wilmington Police have arrested and charged a 32-year-old man apprehended during a home invasion, according to police.

Officials said on July 12 at approximately 11:24 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1800 block of West 3rd Street for a home invasion in progress. Arriving officers established contact with the residents and learned that the suspect was inside of the property. Police made entry, and located and apprehended the suspect. No one was injured during the incident.

Police have charged 32-year-old Theodrick Walley with the following offenses:
Home invasion (6 Counts)
Offensive touching (2 Counts)

Walley was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
