Troopers Investigating Shots Fired Into A Home

Dover The Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident in which a bullet struck a residence last evening, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on July 18, 2019, at approximately 11:01 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to a residence on Autumnwood Court, Dover, for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with a 23-year-old resident who advised that she and two other females, ages 19 and 14 were sitting in the living room when they heard a “pop” sound. The resident then observed a bullet hole in the wall. Further investigation revealed that the bullet had traveled through three walls in the residence and was later located in the garage. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.

There is no suspect information at this time.
