Just In: One Seriously Injured In Kirkwood Hwy Crash Near Marshallton

Just before 9:45 last evening, Tuesday, August 6, 2019, rescue crews from the Mill Creek Fire Company along with crews from the Hockessin Fire Company, NCC Paramedics, Delaware State Police and Trooper 4 were dispatched to Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road for reports of an injury crash.

While en route crews learned that a NCC Police Officer was on scene reporting that a vehicle and a dump truck had been involved in a collision on a subject was not alert.

Upon their arrival crews reported that the patient was seriously injured. Trooper 4 was recalled and the patient was immediately rushed to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital via ambulance with NCC Medics accompanying.

Police remained on scene for at least two and a half hours investigating and clearing the scene.
