Robbery Suspect Pulls Gun At Pike Creek Pizza Shop, Leaves Empty Handed

Pike Creek – The Delaware State Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that took place at a Newark area Dominos on Wednesday night, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said the incident occurred at approximately 7:37 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at the Dominos, located at 12 Polly Drummond Hill Road in  Newark.

The suspect entered the business and placed an order. After placing the order with the employee the suspect produced a handgun and demanded cash from the register, at which time the employee immediately fled to the rear of the business, according to Austin. The suspect then exited the business and fled on foot without obtaining any money or property. The employee was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, 6’2”, with a large build.
