Route 141 SB Construction To Get Underway, Bridges Over 95 Coming Down

DelDOT contractors are set to begin the second phase of their Route 141/I-95 improvements.

The design has been completed and the project has been awarded. Advance utility relocations that were underway have been completed and construction is anticipated to begin as early as next week.

The project will widen SR 141 at Commons Boulevard to provide additional through lanes and a triple left turn from Commons Boulevard.

The old southbound Route 141 bridges over I-95 will be demolished and reconstructed.

The project goal is to improve current and future traffic conditions (safety and capacity) at the SR141 and Commons Boulevard intersection.

The project is scheduled to be completed in the Spring of 2022.

First State Update will keep you updated on the details and detours as the project progresses.
