Troopers Release Photos Of WSFS Bank Robbery Suspect

Felton – The Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate the robbery of the WSFS bank, located at 105 Irish Hill Rd. in Felton that occurred at approximately 4:48 p.m., Friday August 2, 2019, and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

The Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a Felton area bank that occurred Friday afternoon, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said the incident occurred at approximately 4:48 p.m., Friday, August 2, 2019, at the WSFS Bank, located at 105 Irish Hill Road in Felton. The suspect approached a teller and produced a note demanding cash while gesturing to his waistband, implying that he had a weapon. The teller complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who then fled on foot southbound on Canterbury Road. The teller was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as black male, wearing a red shirt and black pants. No weapon was displayed, only implied.
