Troopers: Teen Stabbed Near 7-11 In Bear Friday Morning

Bear- The Delaware State Police are investigating a report of a stabbing incident that occurred earlier this morning, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on August 17, 2019, at approximately 5:50 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the 7-11 located at 1700 Pulaski Highway, Bear. Upon arrival, it was learned that a 17-year-old victim had engaged in an altercation with an unknown subject inside the business. The altercation between the two continued into the parking lot of the car wash next to the 7-11 where the victim was then subsequently stabbed/cut numerous times, said Jaffe. The victim walk home and was privately transported to a local area hospital where he was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as a younger black male.
