Troopers: Woman Robbed At Gunpoint In Claymont, Suspects Took Her Medication

Claymont- The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in a pharmacy parking lot yesterday, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on August 16, 2019, at approximately 4:17 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the shopping center parking lot of the Grubbs Pharmacy located at 2714 Philadelphia PikeĀ in Claymont for a report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, Troopers met with a 49-year-old female victim of Claymont who advised that she was dropped off at the pharmacy by two unknown subjects in order to fill her prescription medication. The victim obtained her prescriptions from the pharmacy and proceeded back to the vehicle.

Upon entering the vehicle, the driver demanded the victim to turn over her prescriptions. When the victim refused, the suspect pointed a handgun at the victim, according to Jaffe. The suspect was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of prescription medication prior to the victim being able to exit the vehicle. The victim did not sustain injuries as a result of this incident.

The suspects were described as two black males approximately 25-30 years of age.
