Two Charged In Milford Ice Cream Shop Burglary

Milford – On Tuesday, August 20, 2019, Milford Police Department Officers were able to develop a 14-year-old male juvenile who was involved in the burglary of King’s Ice Cream in Downtown Milford, according to  Det. Timothy Maloney.

Maloney said through further investigation, another 16-year-old male juvenile was also identified as being involved in the burglary. Both juveniles are from the Milford area.

Officers took both juveniles into custody and they were formally charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and Theft Under $1500 (Deprive Person).

Both juveniles had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 3. The 14-year-old juvenile was released to his guardian on his own recognizance and the 16-year-old juvenile was released on $2250.00 USC unsecured bail to his guardian.

Both juveniles were ordered to appear at a later date in Sussex County Family Court.

Milford – On Sunday, August 18, 2019, at approximately 1:49 am an officer from the Milford Police Department noticed what appeared to be a possible burglary to King’s Ice Cream on the river walk on South Walnut Street.

Further investigation revealed an unknown suspect entered the building through a window, removed a cash register and an undisclosed amount of money.
